One of the highlights for me was signing a guitar for the Hard Rock Wall of Fame. I’ve been to a lot of the Hard Rock’s around the world & I always love seeing who has signed guitars. Among those who have are: Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Madonna, The Rolling Stones & Pink to name a few. I will be doing a live acoustic performance at the Hard Rock Hotel in Bali on the 26Th of October 2012 to support PINKTOBER™. I will then also do another live acoustic gig on the 29Th of October for the “Girls just wanna have fun” event again in Bali.

Osbourne threw the switch casting pink, energy-efficient light on the facade of Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

I’m really enjoying this whole process even though at times it can be a little frustrating as I just want to show everyone what I’ve been putting my heart and soul into. At the end of the day, I want to show the world the best of what I can do and who I am as an artist. I want to make music that inspires and ignites the soul. After all, music is what feelings sound like  

There are definitely a lot of emotions that go into making an album. I feel blessed, inspired, and nervous with anticipation, but mostly, I feel excited about the future, and about sharing these songs with you when they are ready!

My manager, Lori held an intimate gathering at her beautiful house in the Hollywood Hills in LA for ASCAP songwriters to hang out. ASCAP, is an organization owned and run by its members, it is the leading U.S. Performing Rights Organization representing over 435,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers.

It was so awesome to meet and chat with so many like minded people. The songwriters/producers & friendly team from ASCAP who I spoke with were so humble, down to earth and genuine. It was so strange, but so very cool to think these people I was spending time with and chatting to had been instrumental in or had written/produced  some of the biggest hits of all time and some of my favorite songs. “Someone Like You” the amazing song that everyone knows and loves by the very talented  Adele was co-written by Dan Wilson who was at the ASCAP get together. He was such a good guy! 

Also at the ASCAP gathering were Darrell Brown (Keith Urban, Leann Rimes) &  Chris Destefano (Carrie Underwood) who I have had the pleasure of working with. Also there were: Sam Phillips (Singer/Songwriter), Eric Gorfain (Sinead O’Connor, Dr.Dre, Ryan Adams), Mark Weinberg (Songwriter/Producer) & Kojak (Ke$ha, Nikki Minaj).

It was an awe inspiring night. Let’s hope the next time I’m in a room with so many Grammy award winners is at the Grammy’s!

 In 2008, Olivia lead a trek in China to raise funds for the Cancer and Wellness centre. I was lucky enough to be invited to be apart of this incredible event. Olivia invited a number of celebrities, sport stars and cancer survivors from all around the world to take part in this fundraiser that commenced prior to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The walk took 21 days to walk and was a total of 228km. 

The vision, hard work and belief culminated with the official opening of the Olivia Newton – John Cancer and Wellness Centre on the 22nd of June, 2012 and I couldn’t have been prouder. The $189 million centre, stands amongst the best in the world. Putting the needs of patients first, delivering the most thorough and individualized cancer treatments and care available today. Caring for the whole body, mind and spirit. Integrating medical care, research, education and wellness – all under one roof. 

The opening night included a very special performance by Olivia with her performing some of her greatest hits, the whole room was singing and rocking out! The night also included speeches that were really heart warming and inspiring!

I am very blessed to have the Mum I have. My Mum Brenda is such a positive influence. She nurtures, mentors, loves and supports me through my journey in life. Nothing is more important to my Mum then my family. She is truly one in a million, the most beautiful lady with such a beautiful heart. I hear from my Mum each day whether it’s a phone call, email or on skype. It doesn’t matter where in the world I am, she always pops up, each day without fail  Sometimes it’s as simple as a text just saying “Mummy Loves You”. How cute is that?!

Love and commitment, it lasts a lifetime. This is what I share with my Mum.

I’ve been really busy in the studio writing and recording new songs, collaborating with some incredibly inspiring, talented musicians. I’ve also been working a lot over Skype (best creation ever! I LOVE Skype!) and sending tracks back and forth through the air! I would be lost without the Internet right now!

I’m very inspired and loving the process with my writing and recording. I’m loving delving into my heart and sharing my personal story and translating these experiences into song!

When I was a little girl, My Mum and Dad would always prepare an Easter Egg hunt for my little sister Christina and I. We would follow the bunny footprints that created a trail and along the way see the carrots that were at strategic points. The carrots had been nibbled on to make it look like the Easter Bunny had been there & had a little feast.

The Easter bunny scene was always so realistic to my sister and I that on Easter Sunday morning we always rushed into Mum and Dad’s room at around 5am (yep, they loved it!) screaming “the Easter Bunny has been”. I relive these memories and it makes me happy, isn’t it funny what little kids believe and how excited they get!

I must say, I am quite excited for this Easter. I received an Easter gift today from the lovely team at AMPR and Cadbury Australia which I am so looking forward to getting stuck into!

Over the Easter break I will be in the studio recording and finishing writing new songs, I can’t wait.

Easter is always a fun holiday filled with lots of chocolate, hot cross buns, love and laughter! I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends and that the sun shines on you all.

Fast-forward not even two decades and this same friendly girl is standing on an LA stage with legendary music producer David Foster. It’s a pre-Oscars gig and this girl from country Queensland has just been interviewed by all the top entertainment shows such as E! News and Entertainment Tonight, she can even see Jamie Lee Curtis on the red carpet in front of her. She giggles to herself, “If only they knew how surreal all this is to me.”

I have been a fan of Maton guitars ever since I was a little girl. I remember touring around Australia with singer, Felicity and guitarist, Michael Fix when I was 13 years old & both Felicity and Michael played Maton guitars that I was in awe of. I tried to play their guitars any chance I got. In fact, I saved my money from that tour and purchased my first Maton. Fast Forward the clock and here I am working with Maton making my very own custom made guitar!

Maton guitars are played by many artists I respect and they chose to play the instruments for no other reason than that Maton are amongst the finest in the world. Pink, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, John Butler, Neil Finn from Crowded House and even The Wiggles are a few of the artists who play Maton guitars. George Harrison from the Beatles also played a Maton.

Maton was founded by Bill May who was a jazz musician, woodwork teacher, and luthier when he decided to build his first guitar in the early 1940’s.

The success of this Australian icon is largely due to the inspiration and creativity Bill May possessed and was able to reproduce in his instruments. Having established Maton as Australia’s longest running and most successful guitar manufacturer pioneering the use of many Australian wood species in guitar construction, Bill May is regarded by many Australian luthiers as the founding father of their industry.

Bill May’s importance to the history of Australian music was recently recognised at the Australian Music Awards when he was posthumously awarded their highest honour and inducted into the hall of fame. The expansion into Europe and America has seen the company take this national icon to the world.

I am very grateful to the team at Maton, in particular Anthony Knowles and Graeme Mcbain who have helped me create my dream guitar. I look forward to working with Maton for many years to come and thank you for your support.

I loved working with the wonderful Zac Brankovic (Director at White Ink Media) , Elisa Tubecki (Journalist and Fashion guru from White Ink Media), Stephanie (Hair & Make up artist) and Arthur T (Photographer from White Ink Media).

I’ve never had so much fun on a shoot. We had many laughs & I was able to live every girls dream by dressing up in the best clothes from “Roadhouse” – one of Australia’s leading fashion retail chains.

Thank you so much to the sensational journalist, Elisa Tubecki for the interview she did with me. I loved opening up with her and sharing things that I haven’t shared in an interview before. In both the article and photo’s, The White Ink Media team really captured who I am and the journey I have taken and continue to take as a music artist and a young lady.

As I sit reflecting on 2011 and what an awesome year I had, I find myself thankful for my family & friends and experiences I have had. Thanks to my family, friends and experiences, I have gained so much inspiration and motivation. I must say, I am super excited for 2012 and to make music that inspires me and shows you all who I am.

I have been working very hard, writing and recording songs and I feel blessed to have been collaborating with the incredible songwriters and musicians that I’ve been working with.
